Meet the JLS Team
Marie Ricketts-Scott
Founding Director
Marie Ricketts Scott has considerable knowledge and experience with organizational development in the private sector for the past twenty five years and has helped to transform a number of organizations.
Marie is passionate about the role of Jamaica Lung Support to establish strategic alliances. Marie enjoys researching and teaching and is a regular presenter at various Universities on the island of Jamaica.
Marie believes that Jamaica Lung Support is needed to represent patients and to lobby as a unified group; for better access and funding for new treatment options. She wants Jamaicans to have access to anti-fibrotic drug and non-pharmaceutical options such as a Pulmonary Rehabilitation Centre to better manage their disease.
Marie has piloted various initiatives aimed at raising public consciousness and support for lung disease in Jamaica.
She holds the view that no one deserves lung disease and anyone who gets it deserves the very best treatment and support.
